Stand with Governor Strickland to protect education
The Ohio Supreme Court recently issued a ruling that created an $851 million shortfall in our budget. If Ohio’s leaders do nothing, that money will come from our schools.
Governor Ted Strickland believes cutting funding from our schools is the worst possible decision we could make. Instead, Governor Strickland has proposed freezing state income tax rates at 2008 levels, a plan which will fund our schools.
In a letter to supporters, Ted wrote:
Over the next few weeks, I look forward to working with leaders of both parties to balance our budget. We’ll have to make some tough choices. But improving our schools remains the single most effective thing we can do to attract new jobs to Ohio.
I’m committed to protecting our education from cuts, and I need you to stand with me.
Stand with Governor Strickland. Fill out the form below to sign the petition and make your voice heard.
