Spot features President Obama highlighting Strickland’s fight for working families
COLUMBUS, OH -- Today, the Ted Strickland for Senate campaign is releasing a new television advertisement: “This Man.”
The spot features President Barack Obama speaking about how Ted understands the struggles facing working families, his record accomplishments for the people of Ohio, and how Ted will bring the same values he’s practiced throughout his life to fighting for working people in the Senate.
The ad will air in the Cleveland and Columbus media markets starting today.
President Obama: Ted Strickland, love this man. He’s the son of a steelworker. He’s the first in his family to go to college. He’s a minister and a public servant.
President Obama: So when he was in Congress he fought to pass the Children’s Health Insurance Program. As governor he froze public college tuition. And even though he took office as your governor about a year before the recession hit, by the time he left Ohio was the 5th fastest growing economy in America.
President Obama: Ted delivered, and when it mattered most he had your back.
