Strickland Campaign Releases New TV Ad: “Choice”

Spot highlights how Portman and Trump share the same agenda that would hurt Ohio’s women

COLUMBUS, OH -- Today the Ted Strickland for Senate Campaign is releasing a new television ad: “Choice.”

The spot highlights how Senator Portman and Donald Trump share the same agenda that hurts Ohio’s women and working families -- including overturning Roe v. Wade, supporting defunding Planned Parenthood, and opposing equal pay for equal work.

Previously, Strickland released his Ohio Families First proposal to fight for women and working families, and announced “Women For Ted,” a coalition of 100 Ohio women elected officials, community leaders and activists who are working to mobilize voters across the state and share Ted’s message of fighting for working families with Ohioans throughout the campaign.

The spot will air in markets across Ohio starting today as part of the campaign's most recent seven-figure media buy.

VO: We all know what Donald Trump has said about women. So how can Rob Portman still support him?

VO: Maybe it's because they agree on so much. Like overturning Roe v. Wade, and defunding Planned Parenthood, and opposing equal pay for women.

VO: Ted Strickland respects the rights of women to make their own decisions. Rob Portman has endorsed a man for president who doesn’t respect women at all.
